Gergely Szatmári is a distinctive voice in contemporary European photography. His work doesn’t pushfor attention. It stays with you quietly and asks you to look longer.Coming from the cultural landscape of post-1990 Central and Eastern Europe, his practice reflects aregion where change and continuity still sit side by side.Conventional (2007/2008) is one of his most focused works.
